Course Overview

Forum Overview:

The annual QLD Prison Forum brings together health professionals working in Queensland correctional centres and those providing in-reach or transition services to improve people’s experience in their hepatitis C treatment journey from testing to cure, as well as opportunities for improvement and identification of solutions within custodial settings. Additionally, the Forum seeks to consider the broader system-level barriers and the implications on hepatitis C and Blood Borne Virus (BBV) management within custodial settings.

Target Audience: 

Queensland Health Staff, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers, and Outreach Workers in Queensland correctional centres and those providing in-reach or transition services to improve the patient experience in their hepatitis C treatment journey.

Morning Tea, Lunch, and Afternoon Tea provided.

Scholarship: 

A limited number of scholarships are available to support representation from regional correctional centres. Contact education@ashm.org.au for further details.
