Integrated Biological and Behavioural Surveillance – IBBS Survey

Dates: 2015 – 2016

ASHM supported the Timor-Leste Ministry of Health to conduct the 2016 Integrated Biological and Behavioural Surveillance (IBBS) Survey. The primary participants in the 2016 IBBS were Female Sex Workers and Men who Have Sex with Men, the most at risk populations for HIV in Timor-Leste at the time, in two districts – Dili and Bacau. This work supported Timor-Leste’s national strategic planning and enabled them to track the HIV epidemic, monitor sexual risk behaviours, and measure access to HIV prevention programs.
