Burnet Institute are seeking a PhD student with a background in psychology, psychiatry, infectious diseases, or public health to conduct a program of research in the area of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in people with serious mental illness (SMI).
The broad aim of this research program is to gain a better understanding of HCV infection among Australians with SMI, to inform the development and implementation of appropriately tailored HCV testing, treatment, and health promotion efforts.
The project will be based at The Institute for Mental and Physical Health and Clinical Translation (IMPACT) at Deakin University, Geelong, and at the Burnet Institute in Melbourne.
This project is funded by a Deakin University scholarship for a period of 3 years at $35,550 per annum (indexed annually).
