Point-of-care tests provide an opportunity for providing testing to people who may not otherwise seek testing from medical settings and can enhance linkage to care. This online learning program consists of 6 individual modules (approx. 15 mins each) that outlines the key processes involved in point of care testing for hepatitis C, hepatitis B, and HIV infections using tests accessible in Australia*. This course will cover infection control, methods for sample collection, interpretation of results, and quality control for point-of-care tests for Hepatitis C (INSTI® HCV Antibody Test and BIOLINE™ HCV Antibody Test), Hepatitis B (DETERMINE™ Surface Antigen 2 test), and HIV (Determine™ HIV Early Detect test).
Target audience: This program is designed for healthcare workers who will perform, or supervise the performance of, Hepatitis C, Hepatitis B, or HIV testing using these devices.
