Course Overview
These modules introduce key concepts for diagnosing and managing people living with chronic hepatitis B. After completing the modules, you will be able to:
- Describe principles of guideline-based testing for hepatitis B
- Explain transmission of hepatitis B and the principles of prevention, including contact tracing and vaccination
- Plan initial clinical assessment of patients with chronic hepatitis B
- Integrate principles of person-centred and culturally competent care into hepatitis B management

Prospective HBV s100 prescribers: These modules are part 1 of the Hepatitis B s100 Prescriber Course. All modules must be completed prior to attending the face-to-face course.
Existing HBV s100 prescribers: Use these modules to refresh your knowledge and contribute to your HBV CPD requirements (1 point for completion of all 3 modules). Module completion records will be checked by ASHM staff during the prescriber renewal period, and CPD points allocated accordingly.
