Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARC), including IUDs and contraceptive implants, are over 99% effective at preventing unintended pregnancy. Despite their efficacy, the uptake of LARC remains low in Australia.
This mini clinical audit is a self-directed quality improvement activity designed to support participants to deliver evidence-based contraceptive consultations and promote the uptake of LARC among patients.
A clinical audit allows health professionals to systematically review their clinical performance against best practice guidelines.

- Identify best practice approaches to contraceptive counselling and LARC service quality
- Review the management of a cohort of patients who received contraceptive counselling
- Assess your contraceptive counselling and LARC service quality against identified best practice approaches
