Course Overview: Point of-care tests provide an opportunity for providing testing to people who may not otherwise seek testing from medical settings and can enhance linkage to care. This online learning program consists of 6 individual modules (approx. 15 mins each) that outlines the key processes involved in point of care testing for hepatitis C, hepatitis B, and HIV infections using tests accessible in Australia*
Users must complete the 2 general infection control and quality control modules along with any of the test-specific modules they will be using on site. These include point-of-care testing for Hepatitis C (INSTI® HCV Antibody Test and BIOLINE HCV Antibody Test), Hepatitis B (DETERMINE Surface Antigen 2 test), and HIV (Determine HIV Early Detect test).Â
Target Audience: This program is designed for healthcare workers who will perform, or supervise the performance of, Hepatitis C, Hepatitis B, or HIV testing using these devices.
