Point-of-care tests provide an opportunity for providing testing to people who may not otherwise seek testing from medical settings and can enhance linkage to care. This module provides training in the principles of infection control for point-of-care testing and is a prerequisite for further modules that outline the theoretical procedures of each of the assays available within the National Australian Point-of-Care Testing Program.
Target audience: This program is designed for healthcare workers who will perform, or supervise the performance of, Hepatitis C, Hepatitis B, or HIV testing using these devices.
