From 1 September 2026, the prescriber accreditation requirement for hepatitis B medicines under the PBS Section 100 (s100) Highly Specialised Drugs Program will be removed. As a result, all medical and authorised nurse practitioners will be able to prescribe hepatitis B antiviral treatment without additional specialist accreditation. ASHM is currently updating its website, education and resources to reflect this change.

UNAIDS Technical Support Mechanism (TSM) Consultants are located across the globe and have a range of expertise and thematic skills. 
As part of building the foundational skills of emerging consultants, sound knowledge on effective monitoring and evaluation (M&E) practices are often a requirement of the assignment.    

Developed in collaboration with the UNAIDS TSM, in 2024 ASHM delivered webinars and on-demand learning modules to upskill emerging consultants working on HIV and Tuberculosis assignments through the TSM.   

Online learning modules cover a range of key M&E concepts, from making and managing quality data to communicating data for change.
