Overview

The Forum brings together health professionals working across the Queensland Prison space. The focus for 2026 is on incorporating opiate dependence treatment (ODT) as a tool for reducing harm and the spread of hepatitis C (HCV), and how ODT could influence our efforts towards HCV elimination.​

The Forum will continue to consider the broader system-level barriers and the implications onblood borne virus (BBV) management within the corrections environment. ​

A limited number of scholarships are available to support the representation of all correctional centres. See below for more details.

  • Location: Rydges South Bank Brisbane, 9 Glenelg St, South Brisbane QLD 4101
  • Date: Friday, 12 June 2026
  • Time: 8:30am – 5:00pm AEST, with registrations from 8:00am
  • Catering: Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided, along with tea and coffee​. Please indicate any dietary requirements when you register

Scholarships (Applications close Monday, 11 May)

A limited number of scholarships are available to help support attendance and representation of correctional centres throughout QLD. We encourage those outside of Brisbane to apply. Scholarships include 1 night of accommodation, return flights, and/or fuel reimbursement.

This activity may be suitable for self-claiming CPD hours with your professional body. A statement of attendance will be provided for full attendees.
