About the role

This position is suitable for a medical doctor with: a fellowship in sexual health medicine, with experience in primary health care; a fellowship in addiction medicine, with experience in primary health care; or a fellowship in general practice.

In this role, you will provide expert medical assessment and management across primary health care, sexual health, HIV, viral hepatitis and addiction medicine within a multidisciplinary team caring for patients with often complex medical and psychosocial needs. You will also contribute to clinical leadership, supervision and teaching of trainees and junior staff, and participate in research, audit and quality improvement activities that strengthen care across KRC and the broader SHBBV service.

About Kirketon Road Centre

The Kirketon Road Centre (KRC) is a specialised service within SESLHD’s Sexual Health and Blood Borne Virus Services. KRC provides targeted primary health care for people experiencing homelessness, people who inject drugs, people engaged in sex work, “at risk” young people, First Nations people and LGBTQI+ communities. You’ll join a highly skilled multidisciplinary team with a strong culture of social justice, harm reduction, collaboration, innovation and providing “health for all”.
