Overview

The Decision Making in Sexual and Reproductive Health: Pharmacy Consultations resource is a valuable tool designed to support pharmacists to provide evidence-based and patient-centred guidance on sexual and reproductive health (SRH) concerns. This is a quick reference tool which complements ASHM’s Fundamentals of SRH for Pharmacists training.

This tool includes advice on leading SRH conversations, referral pathways, emergency contraception, early medical abortion, common STIs, and HIV prevention. It features a quick reference table which summarises contraceptive methods and their use across life stages. This table serves as a valuable tool for pharmacists to facilitate shared-decision making with patients.

This resource was developed in partnership with ACONAusPATHChildren by Choice, and the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia.

The Decision Making in Sexual and Reproductive Health: Pharmacy Consultations resource is supported by funding from the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability, and Ageing under the Quality Use of Diagnostics, Therapeutics, and Pathology program.
