Course Overview

This one-hour eLearning course is designed to introduce GPs to the types of sexual health concerns that may need to be discussed in relation to travel, and how you might address them. You’ll explore supporting patients before or after travel, and ways to include sexual health in the discussion. You’ll learn how to provide travel health care by assessing sexual health risks, identifying behaviours that may increase STI exposure during travel, recommending appropriate vaccinations or medications, applying STI testing and follow-up guidelines for returning travelers, and sharing reliable educational resources.
