Learning Outcomes:
On completion of this course and its components, participants will be able to:
- Assess how substance use impacts HIV risk, disease progression, and treatment adherence in clinical populations.
- Identify clinical signs of substance use and related behaviours that increase HIV transmission risk, including injection practices and sexual risk behaviours.
- Apply evidence-based clinical interventions—such as screening, brief intervention, harm reduction, and integrated HIV/substance use treatment—to improve patient outcomes.

Endorsement is currently pending with RACGP and ACRRM. This activity may be suitable for self-claiming CPD hours with your professional body. An estimated equivalent of 2 CPD hours applies. A statement of attendance will be provided for full attendees.
