About Hyphen Health

About The Opportunity

This is a remote Nurse Practitioner role specialising in Sexual Health & Diagnostic Testing, open to any AHPRA-registered Nurse Practitioner located anywhere in Australia.

You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality care to patients accessing sexual health services through our telehealth and asynchronous clinical workflows. This is not a “tick-the-box” telehealth job. It’s a role for a clinician who wants to combine excellent patient care with modern systems and genuine growth opportunities.

The role is fully remote, with the option to move into a hybrid model in the future (if you’re located near our operational hubs and prefer some in-person connection).

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be responsible for delivering safe, evidence-based, patient-centred care, including:

  • Clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of sexual health presentations
  • Ordering and actioning diagnostic tests (and managing follow-ups)
  • Providing counselling, education, and reassurance in a way that reduces stigma and anxiety
  • Prescribing medications within scope and protocols
  • Maintaining high-quality clinical documentation and compliance standards
  • Collaborating with doctors, nursing staff, and operations to ensure patients get timely care
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of protocols, workflows, and patient experience

Who This Role Suits

This role will suit a Nurse Practitioner who is:

  • Warm, confident, and genuinely non-judgemental
  • Comfortable having direct conversations about sexual health
  • Clinically sharp and calm under pressure
  • Able to work independently (remote work requires strong self-direction)
  • Excited by modern models of care, not stuck in “how it’s always been done”
  • Interested in helping build and improve systems as we scale

Essential Requirements

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Nurse Practitioner (Australia)
  • Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis and treatment
  • High standard of clinical judgement and documentation
  • Strong communication skills (written + verbal)
  • Confidence using telehealth platforms and electronic health records
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Experience (but not required)

  • Sexual health, reproductive health, or GP clinic experience
  • Experience with STI testing, treatment, follow-ups and risk counselling
  • Knowledge of PrEP/PEP pathways
  • Experience working with diverse patient cohorts including LGBTQIA+ communities
  • Digital health / telehealth experience

Remuneration
$180,000 – $220,000 total package (full-time equivalent)

Final package will be based on experience, scope, and capability.
