This interactive webinar is designed to help pharmacy staff navigate sensitive sexual and reproductive health concerns confidently, especially in less private settings. These two 90-minute sessions will cover topics such as sexually transmissible infections, contraception and unintended pregnancy through various case scenarios and will explore some strategies to improve access to sexual and reproductive health care in various pharmacy settings.

Pharmacists, Pharmacy Students, Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants and Pharmacy Managers. Please note, this is not limited to community pharmacy settings.

- Explain the importance of using effective, inclusive and non-judgmental language when discussing sexual and reproductive health
- Discuss considerations when counselling for contraception and unintended pregnancy
- Outline appropriate referral pathways to support patient’s sexual and reproductive health
- Propose strategies to improve access to sexual and reproductive health in pharmacy
Endorsement and CPD:
This activity is endorsed by APC for 3 hours of Group 1 CPD (or 3 CPD credits) suitable for inclusion in an individual pharmacist’s CPD plan which can be converted to 3 hours of Group 2 CPD (or 6 CPD credits) upon successful completion of relevant assessment activities.
