Course overview

This 90-minute interactive webinar provides healthcare professionals across Australia with the opportunity to engage in open dialogue, pose questions, and critically examine their own practices. The session is designed to foster reflection, dismantle stigma, and promote more inclusive, person-centred approaches to HIV care.

This is 1 part of a 3-part series that will focus on HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C.

Course Components:

Panel discussion on questions asked by the participants.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Engage in reflective practice to critically evaluate own attitudes, beliefs, and behaviours related to HIV care.
  • Identify and challenge stigma and discrimination in healthcare settings that impact people living with or at risk of HIV.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of person-centred care principles as they apply to HIV treatment and support.
  • Apply inclusive communication strategies that respect the rights, dignity, and diversity of individuals affected by HIV.
  • Collaborate effectively with peers through open dialogue and shared learning to improve professional practice in the context of HIV care.
