About You
The Senior Finance and Compliance Manager plays a critical role in advancing ASHM’s financial and governance maturity. Working closely with the CFOO, this position supports enterprise-wide financial oversight, regulatory compliance, and risk management. It requires a proactive and solutions-focused approach to improving systems, embedding best practices, and enabling informed decision-making across the organisation. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, strategic insight, and operational excellence, the role contributes to ASHM’s long-term sustainability and culture of accountability.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and reporting with strategic insights.
- Drive digital transformation and ensure compliance with key regulatory standards.
- Manage audits, risk assessments, and internal controls.
- Supervise finance and compliance staff, supporting performance and development.
- Contribute to organizational strategy and cross-functional projects.
- Develop financial models, business tools, and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
- Drive digital transformation and automation in financial and compliance systems.
- Manage audits, risk assessments, and internal controls across finance and compliance functions.
- Maintain the enterprise risk management and organisational compliance frameworks.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with ACNC, ACFID, DFAT, and other standards.
- Lead contract negotiations and supplier relationship management for value and risk mitigation.
- Build organisational capability through training, mentoring, and policy development.
- Supervise finance and compliance staff, supporting performance, development, and induction.
- Support executive and board reporting processes, including governance and accreditation needs.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects and organisational strategy through financial and compliance expertise
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or CA qualification required.
- 7+ years in finance, with 3+ years in a senior/management role.
- Strong financial management, reporting, and compliance experience.
- Experience leading change and supporting organizational culture.
- Advanced knowledge of financial principles and regulatory compliance.
