About you
Do you have current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with post registration qualification in Sexual and Reproductive Health and/or Sexual Health Certificate and skills, knowledge and abilities in Sexual Health and HIV nursing.
What you’ll be doing
Participation in the provision of quality sexual health & HIV services by maintaining a high standard of nursing practice within a multi-disciplinary team.
Selection Criteria
- Skills, knowledge and abilities in Sexual Health and HIV nursing.
- Current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with post registration qualification in Sexual and Reproductive Health and/or Sexual Health Certificate.
- Commitment to and demonstrated experience in Clinical Research.
- Demonstrated effective communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan and coordinate patient care in a multidisciplinary team environment providing outcome
based care. - Commitment to and participation in Continuing Professional Development.
- Current NSW Class C Driver’s Licence or equivalent.
Key Accountabilities
- Provision of safe and efficient nursing care to maximise effective client outcomes.
- Practising and promoting safe, efficient and effective nursing care.
- Assisting, supporting and guiding the education, clinical placement and development of Enrolled Nurses,
Enrolled Nurses and fellow Registered Nurses. - Promoting evidence based practice and continuous quality improvement within the service
- Participating in health care planning, practice and evaluation
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with clients, carers and other health care team
members/colleagues regarding nursing care.
Practice in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia’s professional standards, NSW
Health Code of Conduct and CORE values. - Co-ordination of Internal and External research activities in liaison with the Medical Director.
- Participation in research and clinical audit project(s).
- Actively promotes and participates in patient safety and ongoing quality improvement programs and
engages in practices that promote the best possible health outcomes for patients/clients, and supports a
culture of patient safety, clinical quality and innovation.
