Quality and Compliance Officer

Queensland Positive People are looking for a Quality and Compliance Officer.

Are you someone who thrives on detail, organisation, and continuous improvement, but also wants your work to mean something?

Help shape quality and compliance systems that support inclusive, peer-based health services across Queensland. Make your mark in quality, systems, and community impact.

Queensland Positive People (QPP) are driven by a vision of a future where people living with HIV can live free from stigma, with equitable access to care and support, and where everyone in the community can access inclusive, peer-based sexual health services. As the Quality and Compliance Officer, you’ll help ensure QPP’s systems and processes continue to reflect QPP’s commitment to safety, accountability, and community trust while maintaining the integrity of the frameworks that keep the services safe, effective, and people centred.

The Role

Part-time (30.4 hours/week) – employment agreement to 30 June 2026 – East Brisbane (Meanjin).

The Quality and Compliance Officer provides organised, efficient support for QPP’s quality, policy, and accreditation systems.

In this diverse and collaborative role, you will:

  • Maintain QPP’s policy, procedure and document control systems to ensure information is current, accurate, and accessible.
  • Coordinate consultation and feedback processes for policy and procedure reviews.
  • Support audit and accreditation readiness, maintaining evidence registers and quality records.
  • Assist with quality improvement activities, audit actions, and organisational risk and compliance frameworks.
  • Provide administrative and reporting support to the Operations Team and Leadership team.

Requirements

You’re a motivated and detail-oriented professional who values accuracy, accountability, and collaboration. You bring:

  • 2–3 years’ experience in administration, quality systems, or accreditation processes.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to prepare, edit, and format organisational documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, and experience in a quality management system would be desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • A professional, respectful, and confidential approach to your work.
  • A National Police Check of six months currency (or international check if lived overseas in the last 12 months) or evidence that a National Police Check has been applied for.
  • A current Queensland Blue Card or equivalent interstate Working with Children Check.
  • Familiarity with the Human Services Quality Framework (HSQF) or similar would be great.

What QPP offers

QPP offers a values-driven, community-centred workplace where people are encouraged to learn, grow, and contribute. You’ll enjoy:

  • SACS Level 4.1 ($44.58/hr) + leave loading + superannuation under the SCHADS Award.
  • Salary packaging up to $35,000 gross-up value (currently up to $15,900 expenses + $2,650 meals tax-free).
  • Work from home, time off in lieu, and flexible hours can be negotiated between Monday – Friday.
  • A supportive environment that values professional development, balance, and wellbeing, including an Employee Assistance Program.
