ASHM is looking for a Project Officer to support the coordination of national education and policy initiatives focused on Hepatitis B.

About You

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Officer to support the coordination of national education and policy initiatives focused on Hepatitis B. Reporting to the Senior Project Officer, you will play a key role in coordinating education programs, engaging with specialist healthcare professionals, and supporting high-level committees and expert reference groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate national Hepatitis B education and training programs.
  • Support relationship-building activities with clinicians, trainers, and stakeholders.
  • Provide secretariat and logistical support to relevant committees and expert groups.
  • Support program planning, implementation, and evaluation activities.
  • Assist in the development and review of written resources and education content.
  • Monitor and manage budgets and timelines for assigned projects.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and special projects across the division.
  • Prepare and submit project activity and reports to teams.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in health, fields allied to health, education or project management, enrolment in same or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in project management or public health within national development context.
  • Experience working in the not-for-profit sector, government, or non-government organisations in international settings.
  • Proven experience coordinating/managing budgets, timelines, and competing priorities in high-pressure environments, with strong communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Skills and Abilities

  • Proven ability to coordinate/manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in high-pressure environments.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience coordinating teams and engaging diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce and edit reports, proposals, and training materials.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and online learning platforms.
  • Committed to ethical practice, inclusivity, and working with communities affected by HIV, viral hepatitis, and related conditions.
