Course Overview
This two-part online workshop equips primary care providers with the necessary information and tools to enhance STI screening and care for priority populations. It also covers strategies for preventing HIV transmission, while emphasising the importance of contact tracing and partner notification.
Through case studies, interactive polling, and following the Australian STI Management Guidelines, this training will offer GPs and their teams practical approaches to discussing sexual health with patients and providing regular STI screening. It will also guide them on how to appropriately test, diagnose, and manage STIs in primary care.

Learning Outcomes:
- Demonstrate confidence in discussing sexual health with patients
- Explain the importance of screening and testing for STIs and BBVs
- Describe contact tracing and its key role in managing STIs
Endorsement and CPD:
This is an RACGP-approved CPD activity under the RACGP CPD Program. It is accredited for 2.5 educational activity hours, and 0.5 reviewing performance hours.
Approved by ACRRM for 3 Educational Activity PDP hours.
