  • Remuneration: $106,351 – $115,103 + 17% Super and leave loading
  • Location: Kensington, NSW (Hybrid working, work from home and from UNSW Sydney campus)

About the position

As a Senior Research Officer, you will provide research and administrative support to a multidisciplinary team of researchers working with project partners in the NSW HIV Prevention Research Implementation Science Monitoring (PRISM) Partnership. You will use your experience in research and evaluation to develop and maintain implementation science research studies and project evaluations in the areas of HIV testing among gay, bisexual, overseas born and other people at risk of HIV, and HIV treatment among people living with HIV in NSW. Duties will include assisting with data collection, data management, and analysis, reporting of study findings and technical and administrative support.

Requirements:

  • Relevant public health degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any other combination of training and/or experience.
  • Experience working in HIV prevention is highly desirable.
  • Experience with/exposure to health research design, survey development, data management, data analysis, statistics, analysis of health policy, and/or translating research findings into policy and practice.
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in project management and the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with proven capacity to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in particular) for word processing, handling spreadsheets and preparation of presentations.
