Project Manager
ASHM is not-for-profit organisation seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality international health programs within our Global division. The role is responsible for managing complex projects across multiple initiatives, ensuring strong governance, on time delivery within budget.
The role will not have direct reports.

You are a strategic and motivated Project Manager with experience delivering complex international health programs. You thrive in leadership roles, confidently guiding cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities in dynamic, fast-paced environments. With a strong understanding of the international development and global health sector, you bring excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills, along with the ability to drive projects from planning through to successful delivery.

Location: Sydney
Employment status: Full-time Fixed-term (12 months contract)
Salary: $95,000 to $110,000 + super + salary packaging Salary based on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage discrete and complex global health projects, with a particular focus on South East Asia.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, risk registers, and monitoring frameworks.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with funders, clinicians, community organisations, government and non-government organisations, and professional societies.
- Manage project budgets, monitor expenditure, and ensure financial accountability
- Contribute to policy and advocacy within project areas
- Prepare accurate and timely financial and activity reports for funders.

Qualifications and Experience
- Postgraduate qualification in Public Health, International Development, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in project management or public health within an international development context.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, with strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Experience working in the not-for-profit sector, government, or non-government organisations within the Asia-Pacific region.
Desirable
- Experience working across South East Asia.
- Experience with training package development and health workforce capacity strengthening.
