Following the recent launch of the National Guidelines for Hepatitis B was ASHM?s successful Hepatitis B Think Tank, held 18 June in Sydney. The event was designed to shepherd in the new strategy with the focus on exploring issues relating to engagement, information availability, research needs and workforce issues.
Three key issues emerged:
-
Increasing the coverage of vaccination;
-
Establishing practical models of care which allow for the identification, monitoring and referral of people with CHB; and
-
Appropriate workforce development which provides suitable information on, and facilitates prevention: vaccination, diagnosis, treatment and care.
