Antiretroviral Guidelines

Australian Antiretroviral Guidelines

At its February 2005 meeting the Australian Health Minister's Advisory Committee on HIV and STI endorsed the USA Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Guidelines for the Use of Antiretroviral Agents in HIV-1 Infected Adults and Adolescents and requested that the Australian Antiretroviral Guidelines Panel develop and regularly update commentary relevant to the Australian setting.

The USA Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) released the latest version of the Guidelines for the Use of Antiretroviral Agents in HIV-1-Infected Adults and Adolescents on 13 February 2013.

The ASHM Sub-Committee for Guidance on HIV Management is currently reviewing the latest guidelines and updating the Australian Commentary. More information about the sub-committee and the Australian commentary on the DHHS Guidelines released on the 28 March 2012 is available online.
