Sex Workers Outreach Project Inc (NSW) - Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Outreach Officer


SWOP is seeking an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community member to work as part of the SWOP outreach team. The position provides outreach to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people engaged in sex work and providing sex for favours across NSW, with the aim of encouraging and supporting safer behaviours and empowering these community members to protect themselves and improve their health and wellbeing.

Note: Aboriginality is a genuine requirement of this position as per Section 14 of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act, 1977.

Previous direct experience in the sex industry is essential, as is a NSW drivers licence and some outdoor and evening work. All information provided by applicants is kept confidential and only viewed by the interview panel.

This is a part time position three days per week (21 hours/week) and based in Surry Hills. Applications for this position close 5pm Friday 01 September 2017.
