Position Vacant: General Practitioner

QuIHN & Better Access Medical Clinics Ltd is recruiting a General Practitioner

  • Urban fringe practice – Brisbane Queensland
  • Upskilling opportunities available
  • Friendly & supportive team environment with wrap around ancillary services

Better Access Medical Clinic is a well-established, bulk billing, AGPAL accredited General Practice on the Brisbane city fringe. We require a caring General Practitioner to take over the busy case load of one of our retiring staff members. You will be working alongside another experienced Medical Practitioner and joining a supportive and friendly team with a comprehensive suite of wrap around ancillary services. The clinic operates within a Non - Government Organization (NGO) that provides a safe, non-judgmental environment for its clients. You will be well supported by Registered Nurses, Psychologists, Counsellors and a Practice Manager. Pathology is collected on site. The clinic operates normal business hours (08.30- 16.30 Mon - Frid). However, there is the potential for an evening and/or Saturday morning expansion.

We are the only fully bulk billing clinic in a rapidly growing high rise residential area. The clinic has a number of specialties including Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol, Sexual / Reproductive Health and Viral Hepatitis. A clinical interest in one or more of the above would be a definite advantage. Upskilling opportunities are available for the right candidate. Remuneration is open to negotiation; both options of a set hourly rate and a percentage of Medicare billings are available. The incumbent practitioner leaves in late August. Ideally, we would like to have a transitional orientation with the new Doctor prior to his departure.
